Sinus Ardorum during Red Alert

Hello! Welcome to my first official post. Glad you've taken the time to give it a read. Much appreciated.

In patch 7.21 in FFXIV, new crafting content, Cosmic Exploration, was released. It is part of the crafting relic-weapon series. If you're familiar with Ishgard Restoration, it's pretty similar to that, just this time on the moon. This won't be a guide on the content by any means, I can share some more information on that however, if you're interested here is a link! You must have completed Endwalker and have a crafter or gatherer at level 10 to begin. The progression of the area is server-side, just like in Ishgard Restoration, so more populated servers will tend to have more of the area uncovered as time goes. I'm on Cactuar in the Aether data-center, and is currently leading in progression as of today.

After speaking with Drivingway at the Bestway Burrows aetheryte in Mare Lamentorum, you will be teleported to Sinus Ardorum. The first out of four areas in Cosmic Exploration.

As a space lover, this content was right up my alley. The zone is pretty fun to explore on it's own, and with each progression, the excitement of seeing what infrastucture gets completed, is just very cool overall. The base camp visual upgrade, the cosmoliners to help teleporting from each part of the map from the center base, the tunnels to extend the area out and having more room for exploring are all examples of the progressions our server has made so far.

One of the cooler parts of the zone, is the weather changes during Red Alert. There's 3 different kinds of weather cycles, and they unlock large-scale critical missions for a 20 minute window, which you can gain a lot of Lunarcredits and Cosmocredits, so I highly recommend doing them when they're available.

During the weather changes is when the area becomes the most visually stunning. The 3 are Astromagnetic Storm, Meteor Showers, and Sporing Mist. Astromagnetic is my favorite out of the 3, and I do have some pictures I have taken during the Red Alert to share!

I will share the Meteor Showers and Sporing Mists in future posts, as I do plan to make this somewhat of a series? I would love to share base upgrades as well.

Time to get back to crafting, cheers.
